CHP spokesperson Lt. Scott Clamp has more details on the crash, stating, “When the driver attempted to make a left turn onto J59, for unknown reasons at this time the trailer overturned in the intersection, blocking the eastbound lane of the highway.” Clamp adds that the lumber was strapped onto the trailer and did not spill onto the roadway.

The highway is down to one-way traffic control on the westbound lane causing delays for motorists. Both lanes are open on J59. Lt. Clamp expects the wreckage to be cleared in about two hours.  An alternative route is Green Spring Road.
