Update: Power Outages Reported Across Region

Update at 3:55 p.m.: Power has been restored to the 259 customers in the Lake McClure area of Tuolumne County. The outage ran along Bear Valley and Hornitos roads. There remain 61 customers without electricity in the Lake Tulloch area, running along Thompson Lane, Poker Flat and Lakeview roads in the Copperopolis area of Calaveras County. The estimated restoration time is 6 p.m. No cause has been given by the company for these outages.

Update at 2:55 p.m.: The power has been restored in two outages only for the lights to go out nearby. PG&E reports the lights are back on in the largest outage impacting 3,328 customers around the Lake Tulloch area that had been without power since 8:18 a.m. At around 1:30 p.m., 61 customers’ electricity went out near that same area along Thompson Lane, Poker Flat and Lakeview roads. The company hopes to have the lights back on sometime in this hour.

In the area of Highway 132 near Lake McClure, there were 1,414 customers without electricity since 7:41 a.m. Those customers’ power has been restored, but no reason has been given. Now there is a new outage southeast of Lake McClure centered along Bear Valley and Hornitos roads impacting 259 customers. A crew is investigating the outage. The utility has given a repair time of 6:30 p.m. has been posted.

No cause has been given by the company for these outages.

Original post at 9:44 a.m. written by BJ Hansen: Copperopolis, CA — There are multiple power outages across the region this Friday morning.

PG&E reports that the largest is impacting 3,328 customers around Lake Tulloch and the surrounding area. The outage stretches over to Highway 108 and J-59. The outage started at 8:18am and PG&E reports that the cause is unknown. The company hopes to have everyone restored by 2:45pm.

In the area of Highway 132 near Lake McClure, there are 1,414 customers without electricity. That outage began at 7:41am and PG&E is hoping for full restoration by 3pm. The cause is also unknown.

In the Cedar Ridge area of Tuolumne County, there are 75 customers without electricity. PG&E reports that it was a planned outage for needed maintenance. It started at around 8am and customers should be restored by 5pm.
