Sponsored by:

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for the Sierra Nevada until 4 PM Thursday.

According to the National Weather Service, morning snow levels from 3,500 to 4,000 feet will rise to 4,000 to 4,500 feet by this afternoon.

Total snow accumulations of two to ten inches are expected above 5,000 feet. One to two feet of snow is likely above 7,000 feet.

Wind gusts of twenty-five to thirty-five mph will continue before decreasing this afternoon.

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow are expected or are occurring. Strong winds are also possible. This will make travel very hazardous or impossible. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
