Update at 6:30pm: PG&E crews report a damaged power pole as the cause for 136 customers  in the Big Meadow area off of Skyline Drive and Highway 4 near Bear Valley having no power.  The company estimates the repair time at 10:30 p.m.

Update at 3:20p: PG&E is reporting additional outages in Calalveras County for 136 customers  in the Big Meadow area off of Skyline Drive and Highway 4 near Bear Valley.  The company reports an assessment crew is headed to the outage location.

Update at 12:30pm: PG&E has now restored the outage impacting customers in the Wilseyville and West Point area.

Update at 10:45am: 119 PG&E customers near Wilseyville and West Point remain without electricity due to an outage that started early this morning. PG&E estimates that the remaining customers will have power restored by 1pm. The company is working to repair damage done to a downed power line.  In addition, there are now 18 customers without electricity in the area of Mi Wuk Village and Long Barn. Those customers should be fully restored by 4pm.

Update at 9:05am: PG&E reports that the number of customers without power in the Wilseyville area of Calaveras County is down to 547. At one point this morning there were over 1,800 customers without electricity. Full restoration is still anticipated by 10am.

Most of the debris and rocks from the earlier referenced slides have now been cleared away. That said, street flooding remains an issue in several areas of the Mother Lode due to the heavy rain. Travel with caution and allow yourself extra time when going to your destination.

Original story at 6:20am: Sonora, CA — There is a large power outage in Calaveras County, and several rock and debris slides.

1,857 PG&E customers are without electricity in the area of Railroad Flat, Wilseyville, Fuchs, Hams, Glencoe and Jesus Maria Road. Full restoration is anticipated by 10am, according to PG&E.

With the heavy rainfall there have been several rock and debris slides in the Mother Lode this morning. In Calaveras County, slides have been reported to the CHP in areas like Highway 4 near Forest Meadow Road and Highway 4 near Telegraph Road. In addition, there have been slides on O’byrnes Ferry Road near Duchess Drive and in Tuolumne County on Parrotts Ferry Road near North Airport Road. A vehicle rolled over, after hydroplaning, on Highway 108 near the area known as the Montezuma Junction. Use extra caution when traveling to your destination this morning.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood watch for the Butte and Rim Fire burn areas through this afternoon. Snow levels with the current weather system have been staying at around 6,000 ft. Click here for the latest weather information.
