Woman Injured In Parking Lot Accident

Sonora, CA — A Sonora woman was hurt after being hit by a vehicle in a parking lot.
It happened Tuesday afternoon in front of the Safeway at 1291 Sanguinetti Road. The Police Department reports that Joanna Bergstrom was walking in the parking lot and was hit by a vehicle driven by Marguerite Rudy of Mi Wuk Village. Bergstrom was later transported to Sonora Regional Medical Center to treat moderate injuries. The accident occurred at 2:30pm. Details regarding the incident are still under investigation, according to the police department.
