Caltrans Plans Jamestown Paving Sunday And More

Sponsored by:

Stockton, CA — A weeklong overnight paving project in the Jamestown area may generate significant delays before the weekend is out, according to Caltrans.

Beginning Sunday evening at 7, crews will set up paving operations on Highway 49/108 between the Highway 120 Junction and Chicken Ranch Road. Caltrans expects the work to continue through Friday morning, Sept. 25 with one-way traffic control and crews in place nightly from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. Motorists should plan for at least 15-minute delays or consider taking an alternate route during these times.

The work initiates a $1.6 million “Rubberized Hot Mix Asphalt Project,” which, according to Caltrans, will help preserve the life of existing pavement as well as smooth the commute for motorists.

Related work on Highway 26 is also planned between Nove Way and Highway 12. Neither should generate any motorist delays.
