Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne Utilities District has compiled the results of a survey looking at ways to increase attendance at Board meetings.

Over 400 took part in a recent survey that was on the T.U.D. website between January 28 and February 13. The first question referenced that the Board will soon be making decisions that will impact water supply, water rates, and the future of the county. Asked if you are interested in attending an upcoming meeting, 67% said yes, and 33% answered no.

On the question of if you would be more likely to attend a meeting scheduled after 5pm (as opposed to a daytime meeting), 44% said yes,  30% answered no,  and 33% said it depends on what is on the agenda. When it comes to a preferred time for meetings, 41% like 7pm, 33% prefer 5:30pm, and 30% voted for 2pm.

The district will use the information to put together its schedule of upcoming meetings. The item will be on the agenda at Tuesday’s meeting.
