Professional Development Conference

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — There will be no school Monday in Tuolumne County, as around 600 school employees will be taking part in a professional development conference.

It will be held at Summerville High School. “The reason we’re doing it, is we know the most important factor contributing to student success, is the quality of instruction and support,” says Joe Silva, Tuolumne County Superintendent of schools. “We’ll be having a number of breakout sessions that will help teachers in this area.”

There will be a range of topics, including technology in the classroom and Common Core.

Also of note, Tuolumne County students will also be off Tuesday as well, in observance of Veteran’s Day.
