Sponsored by:

Yosemite, CA — PG&E is using helicopters today to start re-installing power lines that were damaged by the Dog Rock Fire.

Yosemite Valley remains without electricity. PG&E will be working closely with Incident Command to coordinate the air and ground operations. Last night the fire was estimated to be 279 acres and 25% contained. The numbers have been modified this morning to 311 acres and only 20% contained. The northern edge of the fire is mostly contained, and crews will be focusing today on the east and west flanks. The Highway 140 entrance into the park remains closed until further notice.
