The U.S. withdrew from the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement and now China has applied to join that body, subsequently renamed CPTPP. Our membership would have solidified relations with Asian countries ex-China and helped counter China’s aggressive behavior in the region. The one and maybe only decision of the Trump Administration that should have been overturned by Biden, is our membership in the TPP.
