Update at 10:50 a.m.: A sudden change this morning as both Summerville and the Sonora high school football games have been canceled, again. The cancelations are due to the smoke in the skies creating poor air quality.

The Summerville Bears were set to play the Galt Warriors in Galt at 10 a.m. while the Sonora Wildcats were heading to Ripon to play the Indians at six this evening.  Sonora High Superintended Ed Pelfrey tells Clarke Broadcasting that the game has been switched to Monday (August 30) at 7 p.m. at Dunlavy Field, “barring any air quality issues.”  The game will be aired live on Star 92.7.

Summerville has not yet reported any plans regarding rescheduling its game.

Update at 8:50 a.m.: The Summerville high school football game has been called off yet again, but Sonora will still take the field this evening.

The Summerville Bears were set to play the Galt Warriors in Galt at 10 a.m. after some rangling to field a referee team. Now that game has been called off due to the smoky skies.  Clarke Broadcasting learned of the cancellation by Summerville Athletic Director Jen Osterhout, stating, “Game canceled air quality.” She added that the decision came from Galt High School administrators.

Sonora is still scheduled to hit the gridiron tonight to face off against the Ripon Indians. The game can be heard live on Star 92.7  beginning at 6 p.m.

As reported below both team’s Friday night games were canceled due to poor air quality, which was detailed in this report yesterday.

Update Aug. 27 at 6:20 p.m.: Clarke Broadcasting has just received word from Summerville High School Administrators that their game is back on. It had canceled the game due to not securing a referee team for tonight’s home game against the Galt Warriors. They now detail that the game has been moved to Galt and the two sides will hit the gridiron tomorrow (Aug. 28 ) at 10 a.m. To hear the game live tune into KKBN 93.5.
