Update: Fire In Jamestown

Update at 12:10 p.m.: CAL Fire reports crews are getting a handle on a fire at the intersection of Highway 108 and Bell Mooney Road. The flames forward rate of spread has been stopped at five acres. Crews will continue to work towards full containment and mopping up for the next couple of hours. What ignited the fire is under investigation.
Original post at 11:45 p.: Jamestown, CA — Ground and aircrews are working a vegetation fire in the Jamestown by Highway 108.
The flames broke out in some grass near Bell Mooney Road. Cal Fire reports the fire is 5 acres in size and no structures are threatened. An update will be provided when more information comes into the new center.
