Rim Fire Workshop Reminder

Sponsored by:

Tuolumne County, CA — State and County Officials will be on hand to help private forest landowners in their recovery efforts that they face from the blaze. The Rim Wildfire Workshop is today from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm at the Groveland Community Hall on Highway 120 in Groveland. The University of California Cooperative Extension Natural Resource Conservation Service and the Tuolumne County Resource Conservation District have teamed up to put on the class.

Here are their workshop objectives:

• Present information on the role of wildfire in forest development and change
• Describe post-fire issues and treatment options for private landowners
• Provide information on post-fire treatment cost-share programs for private landowners
• Provide information on professional assistance for post-fire treatments

The group invites anyone concerned with forest management, defensible space and water quality to attend. They say that includes forest landowners, citizens, staff and decision makers with the state, local, federal and tribal agencies.
