Two Jailed in Junction Bank Robbery

Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Deputies have two men in custody after the third bank robbery in the past two
weeks. Lt. John Steely says the suspects walked into the World Savings Bank in the Junction Shopping Center at about 5:30 yesterday and demanded
money.
Steely says one suspect driving the getaway vehicle was picked up moments after the robbery.
The second suspect ran after Deputies
stopped the Chevy Blazer in which they were trying to escape. He was found a few minutes later inside a sewer drain.
The same bank was robbed on
Monday by a lone robber. No indication yet of any connection with this case or the first bank robbery.
