Golden Gate Vista Point Closing

If you want to peek at San Francisco from the popular Bowers Vista Point at the north end of the Golden Gate Bridge, better hurry.
The vista point is closing on Monday for up to four months so work crews can rehabilitate the facilities.
Caltrans says the $4.5 million project will include new restrooms and remodeling of existing ones. Plans also call for converting a storage building into a highway patrol substation and improving the flow of traffic.
It´s the first major renovation since Bowers Vista Point opened in 1962.
Caltrans says some 2.5 million people visit the site every year for the spectacular view of the city and the bridge.
