Winterize Pipes Now, CSD Advises

The Twain Harte Community Services District reminds Mother Lode residents that it´s time to winterize pipes and plumbing.
Exposed pipes and faucets should be wrapped with insulating tape or foam, and residents should locate and label their main water shut off valve. If a pipe breaks, knowing where the shut off valve is can prevent expensive flooding and damage.
The district says shut off valves are commonly found next to a meter in a garage or near the foundation.
