Spot Fire Quickly Contained In Jamestown

Sponsored by:

Fire Crews quickly contained a spot vegetation fire on the 12 thousand block of Appey Way and Campbell´s Flat Road in Jamestown this morning. The 50 by 20 foot fire began when a debris burn escaped its confines.

Captain Danese Pimentel of the California Department of Forestry´s Dispatch Office says residents of the Motherlode must exercise extreme caution when burning debris.

Storms that had passed through the region recently eased the fire restrictions, but Pimentel says everything has dried out quickly. Forecasters are predicting more dry weather for the next week.
