Three Northern California doctors are going to federal prison for concealing millions of dollars of taxable income by funneling it though U-S and offshore trusts. Prosecutors say the three cheated the Internal Revenue Service of more than a half-million dollars in income taxes through a system developed by a Utah man who set up the accounts.
Orthopedic surgeon Daniel Bullock is sentenced to 18 months in prison; orthodontist Richard Pfeiffer to 27 months; and ear, nose and throat specialist Richard Shearer to 24 months in prison. Bullock and Shearer are from Mount Shasta. Pfeiffer is from Yreka.
