Body Search Continues At New Melones

Tuolumne County deputies and FBI investigators are at New Melones Lake again this weekend. They´re using an FBI submersible to search the lower depths of the 200 foot lake for bodies.
The search is part of an organized crime investigation that has been underway in recent weeks at New Melones and Lake Don Pedro. Sheriff´s Lt. John Steely says the remote-controlled device is capable of bringing a body to a depth where divers can recover it. Earlier this week the area near the Stevenot Bridge was searched with sonar. Steely says the team expects to be in the area at least for the rest of the day.
