Letter Tips Deputies To Pot Plants

A letter from an inmate in Placer County tipped off Calaveras County authorities to a marijuana garden in San Andreas.
A letter from an in-custody juvenile was intercepted by the Placer County Juvenile Detention facility. In the correspondence between two brothers,the inmate asked his brother in San Andreas to “make sure the marijuana plants were cared for.”
Calaveras County Sheriffs Narcotics and Juvenile Probation Department officers made the search of the home on Golden Gate Drive and discovered the pot plants.
