New Bridge In Stanislaus Forest

Construction on a steel, single-lane bridge over Blue Creek in the Stanislaus National Forest begins Monday.
Calaveras District Ranger Rob Griffith says the job will continue through late July. An Alternate route using Winton Road will be available for local traffic and emergency vehicles. The old bridge was built as a temporary replacement for one destroyed in the 1997 floods.
