Ditch Should Be Back Online Today

Residents in some areas of the Mother Lode are in the final hours of a critical water shortage.
The Tuolumne Utilities District officials say the PG and E water ditch — which as been closed all week for annual repairs –should be back on line sometime today . The outage cut off water to areas of Crystal Falls, Ridgewood, Willow Springs and Big Hill.
TUD General Manager Gary Egger says water levels are at a critical point right now and officials have expressed worry that the water shortage meant some areas might have run out of water this weekend if residents didn´t conserve.
