Willie Packs ´Em In At Ironstone

Sponsored by:

Country music legend Willie Nelson packed the grounds of Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys last night. More than 3,000 fans jammed the outdoor theater to listen to five-time Grammy Award winner Nelson, and Family performed hits like “On the Road Again,” “Whiskey River,” and his current hit with country artist Toby Keith, “Beer For My Horses.”

Ironstone officials say the long sold-out concert is one of the biggest for attendance figures of any concert held at the Calaveras County winery.

The 70 year-old Nelson travels to the Mountain Winery in Saratoga for two shows Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 before heading to Reno, Nevada for two shows. And if you were unable to get tickets for the Ironstone show, according to his website willienelson .com, Willie will be back in the area Dec. 3 and 4, performing concerts at the State Theater in Modesto.
