Pick-Up Plunges 150 Feet Off Highway

Firefighters used the “Jaws of Life” to free a trapped motorist after his Toyota pick-up plunged 150 feet down an embankment off Highway 49 in Calaveras County Saturday morning.
The single vehicle crash north of San Andreas near Lombardi Drive clogged traffic in the area just after 10 o´clock.
Condition of the victim is not immediately known. He was taken by helicopter to Doctor´s Hospital in Modesto for treatment.
