Sonora Woman Hurt In Rollover Crash

Sponsored by:

A vehicle careened over the embankment of Highway 108 west of Twain Harte this morning seriously injuring the driver.

CHP´s spokesman Tom Wills says driver 19 year-old Emily Werrett of Sonora failed to make the curve on the Twain Harte Grade in her 1986 BMW and went over the embankment.

Wills says she was ejected and sustained serious injury. The woman was taken to Sonora Community Hospital for treatment.

There were conflicting earlier reports on the number of persons involved with this solo rollover accident and whether the car was on fire. This was due to a structure fire call that went out at the exact same time as the accident.

The slow lane of westbound Highway 108 was closed for about an hour until the investigation was completed and the vehicle removed.
