More Charges for Mountain Ranch Arson Suspect

A Mountain Ranch man already facing arson charges was arraigned yesterday on charges of resisting a peace officer and vandalism in connection with an incident at a local market.
39 year old Anthony Abel is accused of setting a pair of mobile homes on fire in Mountain Ranch back in early December. Abel allegedly told two people that he deliberately set the fire because he was angry at the owner and thought the trailers were “possessed by spirits.” Abel has a lengthy arrest record that includes drug charges and spousal abuse. He´s being held at the Calaveras County Jail on $110,000 bail.
