Water Restored To Some In Downtown Sonora

Water is off for many Sonora residents and businesses after a water main broke early this morning.
The main break was at South Shepherd and East Lyons around 1-30 this morning , and has affected at wide area of the downtown, including Tuolumne County administrative offices, the probations department, farm advisor´s office and the court house.
According the County Office of Emergency Services Director Maureen Frank, these county offices are open for business as usual. She says TUD told them their water service will be restored by 10 a.m. In other areas affected , it could be up until 2 p.m. this afternoon before water service is back on.
