Nesler Hearing Delayed

Sponsored by:

A Tuolumne County judge Wednesday delayed a hearing to determine if there is enough evidence to try William “Willy” Nesler on a murder charge.

Nesler is charged with July beating death of Sonora resident David Edward Davis.

Yesterday one of Nesler´s lawyers, Eric Dumars of Sacramento, requested the continuance because of uncertainty over who would handle the case. Those issues concerning Nesler´s legal team have been resolved.

The judge rescheduled the hearing for Oct. 15.

If convicted of murder, William Nesler could receive life in prison, with the possibility of parole after 25 years.
