Train Hits, Kills Modesto Pedestrian

A man was killed over the weekend when he was hit by a train in downtown Modesto.
Police say it happened around 10:45pm Saturday night.
27-year-old Manual Pena Junior from Modesto was witnessed by the train crew sitting on the tracks.
Train conductors reportedly sounded the horn repeatedly trying to alert Pena.
The train tracks from L Street to I Street in Modesto were shut down for three hours for investigation.
The investigation by police continues.
