Saturday Blaze Was Burning Trash In Can

A fire was reported at the Sonora Water Treatment Plant at 500 E. Bald Mountain Road this morning.
Firefighters were dispatched just before 11:30 am.
CDF dispatchers report it was simply a trash can fire, most likely the result of someone disposing of hot ashes incorrectly.
Firefighters were able to return to their stations.
