Geragos Seeks Another New Peterson Venue

Scott Peterson´s defense lawyers want a new jury, in a different county to consider whether Peterson deserves the death penalty for the murder of his wife and her
fetus.
Defense lawyer Mark Geragos filed a motion yesterday seeking a new jury in another county for the penalty phase of the trial.
The details of the filing will not be made public until after Judge Alfred A. Delucchi reviews the file Monday before the scheduled start of the penalty phase.
The 32-year-old former fertilizer salesman was convicted last week on one count of first-degree murder in the death of Laci Peterson and one count of second-degree murder for the killing of the fetus.
