Two People Killed In Fiery Auto Crash

Fire fighters tried to save a driver and passenger trapped in a burning vehicle in Calaveras County this afternoon.
Unfortunately, it was too late.
When firefighters arrived at the crash on Mountain Ranch Road…at Sheep Ranch Road just after 2 this afternoon, they found the car fully engulfed in flames, the driver and passenger trapped. The crash is still under investigation, but the car — for some reason– left the road way and landed down an embankment. Firefighters couldn´t get the fire out to reach the victims in time. They say live ammo was going off inside the vehicle.
The two motorists were pronounced dead at the scene. No identification has been released at this time.
