Ione Band Looks For Federal Land Grant

The Ione Band of Miwok Indians are seeking to build a casino in Plymouth, a small town east of Sacramento. The landless band has asked the federal government to grant it over 200 acres for a gaming complex and tribal headquarters — a plan that doesn´t sit well with many local residents.
