Accused Molester Pleads Guilty to Four Charges

Sentencing happens for accused molester Neal Alden Leash at the end of April, and he could face 25 years to life in prison.

Leash pleaded guilty Friday in Calaveras County Superior Court to charges of forced sex and lewd and lascivious acts with three girls under the age of 14. The 47-year-old former Sierra Conservation Center guard was originally up against 95 counts of child molestation, and if he´d gone to trial, he could have received a maximum of over 336 years.

Leash also faces sentencing in a Sacramento federal court after pleading guilty to 11 charges of manufacturing child pornography. The date of that sentencing hearing is March 22.
