Crow Permitted To Swim in Athens Olympics

A Santa Clara synchronized swimmer who was involved in a deadly car accident last year will be allowed to compete in the Summer Olympics.

Friday, a U-S Olympic Committee panel recommended allowing 27-year-old Tammy Crow to compete on the U-S team in Athens.

The committee´s nomination will likely be confirmed by the organization´s board of directors.

In February last year, Snow was driving on a snowy Sierra highway when she slammed into some trees.

The two passengers — her 26-year-old boyfriend Cody Tatro and his 12-year-old student Brett Slinger — were killed.

Crow says she hopes to honor the memories of Tatro and Slinger.

But Slinger´s parents criticized Crow´s failure to take responsibility for their son´s death.
