Wanted Felon Arrested

A dramatic stakeout and arrest this morning in Sonora.
At around 10 a.m. this morning, Sonora law enforcement officers were tipped off of a possible wanted felon inside the Social Security Administration offices on Highway 49 north of Sonora.
Six marked Sonora police and California Highway patrol cars, were parked out of sight along side the highway. Officers waited outside, poised in patrol cars, crouched behind cars and in bushes.
As soon as 62 year-old Leslie E. Harvey exited the office building, officers moved in and made the arrest at gun point.
A Sonora Police spokeswoman says Harvey is from East Palmdale, Ca. He was arrested on several felony warrants. He was taken to Tuolumne County Jail for booking.
