DUI Wreck Causes Injury, Nets Arrest

An Avery man was arrested for drunk driving following a single car injury accident on Highway 4. this weekend.
The CHP says due to his intoxication, 48 year-old James Smith drove off the roadway hitting a rock and overturning his 1993 Toyota blocking a lane of the highway.
He was taken to Mark Twain St. Joseph´s Hospital for treatment and later booked into the Calaveras County jail.
