Change To Ten Dollar Bill Proposed

Sponsored by:

We´ve all seen the new versions of American paper money. Now, there may be a radical change to the ten dollar bill.

If the Ronald Reagan Legacy Project gets its way, our 40th President could replace Alexander Hamilton on the bill.

The group says Hamilton is highly esteemed, but is not a former president.

Hamilton actually replaced Andrew Jackson on the ten dollar bill in the late 1920s.

And, since Presidents Kennedy, Eisenhower, and Roosevelt all had their likenesses placed on money within a year of their deaths, the lobbyist group says it´s appropriate to change the ten dollar bill to honor Ronald Reagan.

Alternatively, if opponents stall the idea in the legislature, the group says placing Reagan´s face on some of the new dimes being minted is also possible, and that idea needs no legislation.
