Glencoe, CA — A Glencoe woman is facing felony charges after an altercation with Calaveras County Sheriff´s Deputies.

Reports indicate 35-year-old Shana Montgomery-Sakata was driving intoxicated on Highway 26 in Mokelumne Hill on Saturday night with her three young children in the vehicle.

Deputies say Sakata rear-ended another vehicle and left the scene of the accident. When Deputies contacted the woman at her home to arrest her for child endangerment, reports say she struck two Deputies several times with her fists, kicked them, and bit one of the men.

Deputies finally restrained Sakata; however the fight did not stop there, she proceeded to spit on Deputies and kick the rear window of the patrol car, causing damage to the window and frame.

Sakata is being charged with Felony Child Endangerment, Battery on a Peace Officer, Vandalism of a Sheriffs Department Patrol Vehicle and possession of Marijuana.
