Forecasters Warn Of High Winds In Upper Elevations

Sacramento, CA — Weather forecasters are warning residents of the Motherlode and central valley of strong and gusty winds in the upper elevations.
The National Weather Service says a strong high pressure system is descending into the great basin which will bring sustained winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour with gusts between 40 and 60 miles per hour over the Sierra Nevada.
Forecasters warn motorists to be alert for adverse weather conditions through tomorrow morning, and to check the latest forecasts before traveling.
