Colorado Real Estate Firm Announces Purchase Of Bear Valley Resort

Avon, CO — Officials have formally announced the sale of the Bear Valley Ski Resort on Highway 4 to Dundee Realty LLC.
The Colorado based firm had been interested in purchasing the resort and ski area for some time.
Dundee also owns the Arapahoe Basin ski area west of Denver. Dundee executives say they plan to make significant improvements to the area´s ski lifts, snowmaking equipment and buildings.
Executives say that although the area has an approved expansion plan, their first move will be to improve the resort´s already existing organization and facilities.
Officials expect the improvements to have a positive impact on tourism growth along the Highway 4 corridor in Calaveras and Alpine Counties.
