Horse Dies From The West Nile Virus

Sacramento, CA — The first death of a horse infected with West Nile virus has been reported by state health officials.
The state Department of Food and Agriculture says a horse in Tulare County had to be euthanized after contracting the virus. The animal had not been vaccinated.
