SAN FRANCISCO (AP) __ A jetliner departing for Singapore was forced to return to San Francisco International Airport early Wednesday morning after two of its tires blew out during takeoff.
The Singapore Airlines plane blew two tires on its left main landing gear shortly after midnight.None of the 237 passengers or 21 crew members was injured. The pilot decided to turn around in mid-air and landed safely shortly after the plane took off.
