Moke Hill Body Identified

A 19 year old was found dead Wednesday morning in Calaveras County, according to Sheriff´s Department officials.

Investigators say they found the body of David Louis Jessop in a home in Mokelumne Hill.

Officials say they are investigating the case as a homicide. The investigators believe that they know how Jessup died but are not releasing any further details.

Calaveras County Sheriff Deputies originally responded Wednesday Morning at 4:30 when a female called 911 from the residence on West Center Street in Mokelumne Hill. The female reported that the home had been broken into and that Jessop appeared to be injured. Deputies and medics who arrived at the scene determined that Jessop was deceased.

Jessop´s death is Calaveras County´s first homicide of 2005. There were three homicides in the county last year.
