Husband In Wendy’s Chili Finger Case Charged With Two Felonies

San Jose, CA — The husband of a woman accused of planting a human finger in a bowl of Wendy´s chili is now facing two felony charges in the alleged scheme.

Prosecutors say they´ve filed charges against Jaime Placencia Tuesday in a Santa Clara County for conspiracy to file a false charge and attempted grand theft with excessive damages.

He was arrested May 4th in Las Vegas. Plascencia is to be arraigned on Thursday.

Plascencia´s wife, Anna Ayala remains jailed on charges of conspiracy to commit fraud, attempted grand theft and grand theft.

Ayala told police she discovered the fingertip March 22nd while eating with her family at a San Jose Wendy´s restaurant.

But law enforcement officials have characterized the incident as a hoax.

The finger belongs to Placencia´s co-worker.
