Sonora Road Work To Begin Tonight

Sonora, CA — Sonora city officials are once again advising motorists that road construction crews will be working on Washington Street late tonight through early tomorrow morning.
Crews will reportedly be grinding and patching asphalt on the shoulders between Cowan and Elkin Streets.
That means Washington between Elkin Street and Columbia Way will be subject to lane closure from 10:00 tonight until 5:00 tomorrow morning.
Officials say delays of up to 20 minutes are possible during the construction period, and traffic will be diverted to one lane alternately running in opposite directions.
Officials advise motorists to watch for signs in the area and take an alternate route if possible.
