Recall Petitions Filed For Two County Supervisors

Sonora, CA — A group of community members has filed a recall petition to remove Tuolumne County Supervisors Paolo Maffai and Liz Bass from the board.
Proponent Lorraine Friedlander says that both Maffai and Bass do not act on behalf of the people who elected them. Friedlander says the DMV registration fee is just one issue her fellow voters are upset about.
She says the Supervisors are taking her money and not telling her where it is going. Maffai says he can understand that people don´t want to see their budgets impacted by fees, however he says the money will make its way into the general fund.
Friedlander plans to get the amount of signatures necessary to get the Recall put on the ballot.
