Lunch-Auction Raises Nearly $10,000 For Yes Partnership

Sonora, Ca — Nearly $10,000 was raised for the Tuolumne County Yes Partnership this afternoon.

The 14th annual Lunch-Auction was held at the Elks Lodge. Yes Programs Director Shana Monaco says 150 people were on hand. She says one of the bigger projects the money will go towards is to help in the creation of a community wide suicide prevention plan.

Funding will also go to the groups mini grant program. Individuals in the community can apply for a grant of up to $2000 if what they are trying to accomplish has to do with substance abuse and child abuse prevention.

On top of the money raised today, the group has also received a 10,000 dollar grant from the Sonora Area Foundation. It is the Elaine Symons Baker Community Impact Award.
