Environmental Film Festival Tours Mother Lode

Murphys, CA — Adrenaline filled adventure is on tap for film buffs as the Wild and Scenic Environmental Film Festival On Tour visits Calaveras and Tuolumne counties this weekend.

The Ebbetts Pass Forest Watch, Tuolumne County Citizens for Responsible Growth, and Columbia College are hosting the festival in Murphys, Angels Camp and Columbia.

Films include a hang-glider´s flight over Mt. Everest and two of the youngest climbers to ascend El Capitan.

Attendees can also see a public service announcement filmed recently in Tuolumne County featuring Harrison Ford.

The Black Bart Playhouse in Murphys will host the festival from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Friday. Saturday and Sunday shows are on from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Angels 5 theatre in Angels Camp. And on Saturday the festival will show from 3:30 to 10:30 p.m. at Columbia College.
