CHP Releases Report On Logging Truck Accident

Murphys, CA — The CHP has released its report on the logging truck accident yesterday in Murphys.
The CHP says for unknown reasons, truck driver Willis Morrow of Sonora, failed to stop behind traffic and set off a chaotic chain of events.
An Ebbetts Pass Fire District ambulance was stopped to make a left hand turn into Chevron. Three cars were behind the ambulance.
The logging truck rear-ended the last vehicle causing all of the cars to collide.
A truck and trailer parked on the side of the road was also hit.
The logging truck went off side of the road into a drainage ditch, stopping just feet away from the Faith Lutheran Preschool.
